RESOLVEN CHARITY EVENT 12th OCTOBER 2007

Well nobody could be happier than myself for the response I was given by the audience on Friday. It was a real privilage to meet each and every one of you. The show was a sell out and a great amount of money was raised for both charities. The warmth and compassion showed by every member of the audience towards those that had messages was second to none. For those who did not have a message all I can say is never forget that your loved ones are always close to you.I cannot thank David Christian (magic and mindreader support act) enough for giving his time freely that night. I would also like to thank Adrian for helping with the arraingements as always and Andrew for doing the sound and lights. Also his help with the Table Tilt demonstration.

The show was a sell out with well over a hundred tickets sold. The raffle raised over £100. Many thanks to Costcutters, Marcia's, Lunchbox, Dolly Bach's and Willowgrove for the raffle prizes. This means that we should have a good amount for each charity. JUST IN: The total is £800, to be shared. This includes a generous donation. Thank you all for your kind comments and feedback also the e-mails. It does mean a lot to me. I will be back in the near future.Please help and support Heather (who did a fab job) and those who run The Resolven British Legion.Its a great venue.My final words are it was a FANTASTIC night and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting the charities.Jules xxx

CONSERVATIVE CLUB SCARBOROUGH

Things that goBUMPat Scarborough's Conservative Club

Saturday 26th July 2008 was a fantastic night. Not only did we fill all the seats at the venue, we also had some of the best examples of Table Tilting so far that year.

However, firstly to the important things. The evening was all about raising money for two charities. We managed to take £420 that night and our only expenditure was the staffing of the bar which came to £50 (all other expenses were covered by Myself and Gary as our contribution) . This has left us with £370 to be divided between Macmillan Nurses and The Baby Unit in Scarborough Hospital. Although this is not the biggest amount of money we have ever raised it is important to remember that every penny counts. As any charity will tell you it all adds up.

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Adrian and Gary for their help and never ending support. To the support act for her renditions of golden oldie's such as Elvis and David Cassidy. To all the staff at Vibe Hairdressers for their help in selling tickets. To the Conservative Club for letting us have the venue for free. Thank you to all the shops and businesses who kindly put up one of our posters, to Scarborough Evening News for the article and Yorkshire Coast Radio for plugging us. And Finally to each and every person who attended that evening, putting their hands in their pockets during these hard times to make the event the success that it was.
